WDLA Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee

Wednesday, July 11, 2018

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana has determined that a Local Rules Committee should be established for the purpose of assisting the Court in rewriting the District's Local Bankruptcy Rules. This committee shall consist of the Chief Judge, any other judges who may be appointed by the Court, the United States Trustee for Region 5 or a designated assistant, the current Chapter 13 Trustees, a Chapter 7 Trustee from the Shreveport Division, the Alexandria Division and Lafayette Division, and one actively participating member of the bankruptcy bar from each division of the district.

At this time, the Court is in need of five attorney volunteers for the committee, one from each of the District's divisions. The Court is also in need of Chapter 7 Trustee volunteers from Shreveport, Alexandria and Lafayette. If you're interested in serving, please respond to Tommie Slatten by email on or before July 31, 2018. The Court will select the members of the committee from those indicating an interest. It is anticipated that the initial meeting of the committee will take place in Alexandria, Louisiana in August.
