Alexandria Bankruptcy Clerks Office Closed June 22 and Alexandria Bankruptcy Court Cancelled Thursday, June 22
Due to the tropical storm likely to hit our area, Bankruptcy court on Thursday, June 22 in Alexandria is cancelled. The Alexandria Bankruptcy Clerk's of will be closed to the public, but court services will be available by calling the Clerk's office. As always, the Case Management and Electronic Filing System will be available.
Lafayette Bankruptcy Clerks Office Closed June 21 - 22 and Lafayette Court Cancelled Wednesday, June 21
Due to the tropical storm likely to hit our area, the Lafayette Bankruptcy Clerk's  Office will be closed Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22.  In addition, Bankruptcy court on Wednesday, June 21 in Lafayette is cancelled. If parties have reached a resolution of matters that the court has been advised of, those resolutions will stand and minute entries will be entered. All unresolved matters will be bumped to August 2. We are using August 2 due to scheduling issues in July. However, if you need a date other August 2 for any particular case, please let Alice know ASAP. Any motions to extend the automatic stay will be granted on an interim basis with the stay remaining in effect pending the continued hearing. The Lafayette Bankruptcy Clerk's of will be closed to the public, but court services will be available by calling the Clerk's office.
