CM/ECF System Requirements

Hardware and Software

1.) A personal computer with a standard operating system (i.e. Windows 95 or higher or Macintosh)

2.) Internet access*

3.) Internet Explorer 7.0 or greater (Netscape Navigator is no longer supported, Mozilla Firefox is not recommended)

4.) Adobe Acrobat and Exchange software**

5.) Windows or Macintosh based petition and word processing software

6.) A scanner for documents which are not in your word processor or petition software

     Image resolution should be set to black and white at 600 dpi for clean typed documents, or grayscale
     at 400 dpi for handwritten or scanned image documents. (Administrative Guidelines updated 07/01/2009)

NOTES:
* High speed internet access is recommended, but NOT required (i.e. cable modems, DSL, etc.)

** Adobe Acrobat is needed. Be sure not to confuse Adobe Acrobat with Adobe Acrobat Reader.  you will need to view AND create .pdf files.  The Reader version of Acrobat will not allow you to create .pdf files, only to read and view them.  You can find descriptions of the products at http://www.adobe.com.

DO NOT use (AOL) American Online's version of Netscape Navigator, Netscape Navigator is no longer supported, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 and greater is not recommended.
